Pareo - Lei Lehua Mamo

$45.00
Lehua mamo is the yellow-blossomed variety of the native Hawaiian ʻōhiʻa lehua tree. While most ʻōhiʻa lehua trees have red flowers, the rare yellow-flowered lehua mamo is culturally significant and is still used in lei making and other practices. Lehua Mamo is often associated with the prized feathers of the now-extinct mamo bird. Ōhiʻa lehua, including the lehua mamo, is a keystone species in Hawaiian ecosystems, playing a vital role in forest regeneration and watershed protection.

These eco-friendly, 100% soft spun rayon pareos are made with AZO free dyes and sustainably sourced materials featuring custom artwork by Hawaiian artist JT Ojerio.
